Health checks watch the service and automatically restart an unhealthy application process. This is designed to keep routine updates and unexpected crashes brief for users and API clients.
Download4YT is independently operated and does not offer a formal uptime guarantee or service-level agreement. Planned releases, upstream platform changes, provider limits, or maintenance can still cause a short interruption.
If you integrate with the API, handle temporary network failures and 5xx responses by retrying with a short, increasing delay. Check the API response before treating a download request as complete, and keep your own application prepared for a retry when YouTube or another upstream service is unavailable.
This also means things can occasionally break. When that happens, the goal is to identify the problem, fix it, and improve the system so the same problem is less likely to happen again.
